Hotels to visit Chitwan National Park in Nepal are Eco(less than $10), Budget($10-$20), or Business. When we went, Eden Jungle Resort, a budget hotel, was $12 for a room with 2 beds for a total of 3 people and free breakfast.
This hotel has been running for around 30 years, with new buildings that offer air-conditioning, unlike the rest of the hotel, which gives you a ceiling fan. The staff are friendly and helpful.
For you budget travellers, here’s what you need to know:
- Hot water for the winter
- Generator for power cuts
- Clean and comfortable
- Quiet and peaceful atmosphere
- Nearby park entrance
- Private bathroom
A very cool thing you should know is that it is the closest hotel to the Male Elephant Center which in our opinion, far exceeds the enjoyment of the Elephant Breeding Center. It’s free to enter, the trainers are relaxed and you can get amazingly close to the elephants, even see them coming back from their days work in the jungle if you stop by in the evening after 4.
You can also book your excursions in the national park through the hotel as most people do. You can get to know the resident elephant and then ride her for a jungle safari or elephant bathing in the river.
